WordStar: Write&Set 0.99h

Martin, I tried to install the new version on a computer running the current McAfee Viruscan Enterprise with current DAT files, and it thinks there's a virus in HMAKE.exe. Here's the message I get from the on-access scanner:

4/16/2008 4:10:18 PM Moved (Clean failed because the file isn't cleanable) wset-win099h.exe C:\Program Files\WriteSet\Hmake\HMAKE.exe W32/Zmist.gen (Virus)

Anyway, HMAKE.exe keeps being moved to the quarantine folder because it looks as if it's infected with W32/Zmist.gen -- probably it isn't actually infected but it is triggering the detection.

I thought I'd report. -- Mark F.

Subject: WordStar: Write&Set 0.99h

Hello,

after 2 years, there's a new Write&Set (WSformat+WSedit) version: 0.99h. The list of fixed bugs is too long to list here. You'll find it on the www.WriteAndSet.com page.

http://www.writeandset.de/archive/wset-win.exe (2,2 MB)
http://www.writeandset.de/archive/wset-os2.zip (2,0 MB)

(If your browser still shows the 0.99e version on www.WriteAndSet.com, press the refresh button.)

The archive contains the current WSedit version with only few changes since I wrote here three weeks ago.

The last 2 years, I continously improved and fixed the WSformat project.

WSformat Preview does not work with Windows Vista at the moment. I will move the Windows WSformat project to another programming software to get this problem fixed. I am already working on this subject. Vista is quite a new operating system and it is a hard work to get programs working which are designed for Windows 2000/XP. (It's funny that very old DOS and Windows 3.1 programs have less problems.)
